Nordic Growth Market Comments On Finansinspektionen’s Decision
The Swedish Financial Supervisory Authority ("Finansinspektionen") has decided to withdraw Nordic Growth Market NGM Holding AB’s ("NGM Holding") subsidiary Nordic Growth Market NGM AB’s ("NGM") license to conduct exchange business. The business shall be closed-down within six months. Heléne Bergquist, Chairman of the Board in both companies, comments Finansinspektionen’s decision.

Swedish Financial Supervisory Authority - Finansinspektionen - Withdraws Nordic Growth Market's Licence
Finansinspektionen is withdrawing NGM's permit to conduct exchange operations with immediate effect. Trading can continue in all financial instruments during a winding-up period of six months.

New Steps By CESR To Address The Recent Market Crisis
Following close and continuous monitoring of developments in financial markets, CESR members decided, at the meeting held in Paris on September 30th, to take the following actions to address key aspects of the financial crisis that fall under the competence- of EU securities regulators. This work will be undertaken, where appropriate, in close co-ordination with our fellow Level 3 Committees covering banking, insurance and pensions (namely, CEBS and CEIOPS) including in liaison with IOSCO.

CFTC Charges Michael Derrick Peninger And His Company, CSA Trading Group, Inc., With Fraud And Misappropriation In $1 Million Commodity Pool Scam
The U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) filed an enforcement action against CSA Trading Group Inc. (CSA) and Michael Derrick Peninger, individually and doing business as the Cooper River Group, charging them with fraudulently soliciting and misappropriating more than $1 million of commodity pool participants’ funds, and with issuing false statements to pool participants. The action also charges four relief defendants with illegitimately receiving misappropriated funds.

National Stock Exchange, Inc. (NSX(R)) today announced the appointment of Sarah E. Heffron, Executive Director at J.P. Morgan, as a Director on the National Stock Exchange, Inc. Board. She was also appointed Director to the Board of NSX Holdings, Inc., the Exchange's parent company.

ISE Reports Monthly Volume For September 2008
The International Securities Exchange (ISE) today reported that in September 2008, its options exchange traded an average daily volume of 4.8 million contracts. The ISE Stock Exchange traded a record average daily volume of 117.2 million shares in the same period.

In September The Spanish Stock Exchange Traded €101.74 Bn In Equities, Up 51.07% From August - The Number Of Trades On The Spanish Exchange In September Grows 27.5% From The Same Month A Year Earlier
Trading volume on the Spanish stock exchange to the end of September came in at €989.70 bn. ETF trading in the first nine months was €5.29 bn, up 103.3% from the same period in 2007. The Derivatives Market traded 8.7 million contracts in September, up 26% from the same month a year earlier.
