The Tokyo stock market has been experiencing sharp drops over the last couple of days. I suspect that this has mainly been caused by increasing concerns about the degradation of social infrastructure following the recent “2011 off the Pacific coast Tohoku Earthquake” and subsequent nuclear power plant accident. Market participants’ concerns have also been further accelerated by the conflicting information on these happenings.

Deutsche Börse: Three New Amundi ETFs Launched On Xetra - XTF Segment Now Contains 801 Funds
Two new listed equity index funds and a bond index fund issued by Amundi have been tradable in Deutsche Börse’s XTF segment since Tuesday. This brings the number of exchange traded funds listed in Deutsche Börse’s XTF segment to over 800.

ICE U.K. NBP Natural Gas Futures Contract Sets Daily Volume Record
IntercontinentalExchange, a leading operator of global regulated futures exchanges, clearing houses and over-the-counter (OTC) markets, announced a new daily volume record for the ICE U.K. National Balancing Point (NBP) Natural Gas futures contract. On 14 March, 56,380 U.K. NBP Natural Gas futures contracts traded on ICE Futures Europe, surpassing the previous record of 49,680 contracts traded on 21 July 2010.

ICE Extends Exclusive License For Russell Indexes And Expands Agreement To Include International Indexes
IntercontinentalExchange (NYSE: ICE), a leading operator of regulated global futures exchanges, clearing houses and over-the-counter (OTC) markets today announced it has extended the duration of its agreement to exclusively offer futures and options contracts based on industry leading US stock indexes including the Russell 2000® Index and Russell 1000® Index, as well as expanded the agreement to cover the exclusive listing of futures and options on Russell's international indexes. The agreement has been extended by three years and now runs through June 2017.
