CME Group And BM&FBOVESPA Promote Partnership In The United States
The agreement between CME Group and BM&FBOVESPA, which foresees an order routing system that is being developed by both exchanges, was promoted in the United States through a series of events. Approximately 180 people, among them investors, brokerage houses, and technology companies, attended two seminars that were held in Chicago and New York, on June 23 and 26, respectively.

In June 2008, turnover on SWX, SWX Europe and Scoach Switzerland totaled CHF 157.6 billion, a 16.3 % gain over the previous month. Trading in ETFs increased by 63.1 %. For the entire second quarter, turnover amounted to CHF 461 billion, 24.0 % lower than the CHF 606.6 billion recorded in the first quarter of 2008. Publication Of The AMF Position Regarding The Admission To Listing Of Islamic Bonds (Sukuk) On A French Regulated Market
The growth of the Islamic finance market in recent years has prompted applications from some issuers to list sukuk bonds on the Paris market. Dennis Johnson, Corporate Governance Director, To Leave CalPERS For Private Sector Post - Johnson Takes Job At Shamrock Investments Value Fund

SEC Approves Amendments To The Rule 9700 Series To Streamline Existing Procedural Rules Applicable To General Grievances Related To FINRA Automated Systems; Effective Date: August 1, 2008
Executive Summary Effective August 1, 2008, reviews of FINRA staff determinations under the Rule 9700 Series (Procedures on Grievances Concerning the Automated Systems) will be adjudicated by a Hearing Officer appointed by FINRA’s Office of Hearing Officers, subject to discretionary review by the National Adjudicatory Council. The text of the amended rules is set forth in Attachment A of this Notice.
