UK Government: Making Financial Services Digestible - The UK Government Plans To Introduce A Traffic Light System To Highlight Riskier Financial Products
As part of its recent white paper on banking reforms, the British government has suggested ways in which the financial services industry can re-engage with consumers, including the introduction of a color-coded system more commonly found on food labels. While the suggestion has drawn some criticism, the proposed system should at least lead to greater innovation and competition within the industry.

SIFMA Unveils New Pro-Consumer Reforms - Adopts Administration Proposed Language For Federal Fiduciary Standard
The Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association (SIFMA) today announced that its Private Client Group Steering Committee unanimously supports a new federal fiduciary standard for broker-dealers and investment advisers who provide personalized investment advice. The proposed uniform set of regulatory standards is designed to strengthen safeguards for investors.

BM&FBOVESPA Improves Calculation Methodology For The Corporate Sustainability Index: Participation By Individual Sector Has Been Limited To 15% Of The Index Portfolio - Performance Report Of The Companies That Answer The Evaluation Questionnaire Will Also
In order to reduce the sectoral concentration of the Corporate Sustainability Index (ISE), BM&FBOVESPA has announced the following change to the ISE calculation methodology: The current 25% concentration limit per individual company will be replaced by a 15% concentration limit per individual sector. The supervisory board of Deutsche Börse AG today appointed Gregor Pottmeyer to the executive board for a period of three years. Effective 1 October Pottmeyer (46) will be responsible for the finance department.
