Euroclear Welcomes Karim Ben Rais To Its Single Platform Management Team
Euroclear announces today that Karim Ben Rais will join Euroclear as Managing Director and head of Euroclear’s Single Platform Modules division, one of four IT Project Delivery divisions within the Euroclear group. Effective 5 May, he will also become a member of the Euroclear Group Management Team.

Dow Jones Required Business Performance Index Family Expands With Four New Indexes - New Dow Jones RBP Indexes Available As A Basis For Financial Products
Dow Jones Indexes, a leading global index provider, today announced the addition of four new indexes to its family of Dow Jones RBP Indexes. April Statistics Report From The NASDAQ OMX Nordic Exchanges
Record in no of trades in share trading April saw a record in number of trades for the share trading at the Nordic Exchange. Record figures in number of trades were recorded for the month, reaching 315,172 trades per day (previous record: 303,881 trades per day in October, 2008).

The Istanbul Stock Exchange Introduces A New Index: “TSKB Energy Index”
The Istanbul Stock Exchange (ISE) introduces a new Index jointly with the Industrial Development Bank of Turkey (TSKB), the first private investment and development bank of Turkey. With “TSKB Energy Index”, TSKB aims to offer an alternative investment instrument in Turkey, reflecting its professional know-how on the energy sector in the capital markets. The Index is the first of its kind in Turkey and is launched on May 3, 2010.

HKEx: Changes Of Designated Securities For Short Selling
The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited (HKEx), announces that with effect from 10 May 2010 (Monday), 59 additional securities will be eligible for short selling and 12 existing designated securities will be removed from the list. The total number of designated securities for short selling will be 579 after the revision.

Oslo Clearing Defers The Launch Of A Central Counterparty For Equities
We refer to earlier announcements on the establishment of a central counterparty (CCP) for equities, equity certificates and ETFs. Oslo Clearing and Oslo Børs have decided to defer the launch date from 12 May to 4 June 2010.

European Central Bank Announces Change In Eligibility Of Debt Instruments Issued Or Guaranteed By The Greek Government
The Governing Council of the European Central Bank (ECB) has decided to suspend the application of the minimum credit rating threshold in the collateral eligibility requirements for the purposes of the Eurosystem’s credit operations in the case of marketable debt instruments issued or guaranteed by the Greek government. This suspension will be maintained until further notice.
