Direct Edge Announces Promotion Of Bryan Harkins To Chief Operating Officer
Direct Edge announced today the promotion of Bryan Harkins to Chief Operating Officer, effective January 3, 2011. In his role as COO, Harkins will be responsible for helping direct all operational affairs of the Company. Harkins, who previously held the title of Head of Sales & Strategy, will continue to report to William O’Brien, Direct Edge’s Chief Executive Officer. As COO, Mr. Harkins succeeds William Karsh, who is leaving the Company at year-end to pursue other opportunities.

SEC Charges RAE Systems For Illegal Payments Made Through Joint Ventures To Win Chinese Government Contracts
The Securities and Exchange Commission today charged San Jose-based RAE Systems Inc. with violations of the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) for making improper payments through two of its Chinese joint venture entities to Chinese officials in order to obtain significant government contracts for their gas and chemical detection products.

BBA Statement On CEBS Announcement On Remuneration
“CEBS announcement, on top of the FSA rules, changes dramatically the bonus landscape, the BBA said today. Taken together, these rules mean that for the key people, whatever is paid in bonus is half in shares, mostly locked away for several years, and any cash will go straight to the tax man. This represents a huge change away from the bonus arrangements of the past.

ICE Futures Europe To Launch IHS McCloskey Indonesian Sub-Bituminous FOB Marker Coal Contracts
IntercontinentalExchange (NYSE: ICE), a leading operator of global regulated futures exchanges, clearing houses and over-the-counter (OTC) markets, announced it will launch an Indonesian sub-bituminous coal contract on ICE Futures Europe in the early part of 2011, subject to regulatory approval. The contract will be cash settled against the IHS McCloskey Indonesian Sub-Bituminous FOB marker. The contracts will be traded in multiples of 1000 tonnes, with a minimum price fluctuation of $0.05.
