As previously announced on June 29 (2009 TOCOM Notice No.140), TOCOM has been suspending the generation of bait orders between Tuesday, June 30 to Friday, July 10 since the problem related to bait orders occurred. Meanwhile, the Exchange conducted the verification test after receiving the modified code from Nasdaq OMX on Tuesday, June 30.
As a result, the Exchange confirmed that the problem occurred on June 23 was resolved. However, a new problem related to bait orders was detected during the test, and the Exchange has instructed Nasdaq OMX to modify the code again.
Accordingly, the Exchange decided to further extend the suspension period of the bait order generation, which was originally scheduled to be lifted on Monday, July 13, in order to complete the modification and implement the additional verification test.
We apologize for the inconveniences. Please make arrangements to notice the extended suspension to your relevant parties, including your customers.
The Exchange will separately announce the date for resuming the bait order generation.
