TMX Group is pleased to welcome conference attendees to Toronto to participate in the Prospectors and Developers Association of Canada's (PDAC) International Convention, Trade Show, & Investors Exchange from March 6 – 9, 2011. TMX Group will host and participate in 19 events geared towards the mining industry during the conference, including market openings, seminars, and workshops regarding listing on Toronto Stock Exchange and TSX Venture Exchange.
On Sunday, March 6, TMX Group participated in the Foreign Affairs and International Trade Canada Workshop. Today, TMX Group is sponsoring the Brazil – Canada Mining Breakfast, as well as the Mexico – Canada Mining Reception 2011.
This afternoon, Kevan Cowan, President, TSX Markets and Group Head of Equities, TMX Group, will present on the company's proposed merger with London Stock Exchange Group and the benefits it will deliver to the Canadian mining sector.
On Tuesday, March 8, Mexico Mining Day will be hosted by TMX Group. Conference events will conclude on Wednesday, March 9 with the TMX Group seminar on accessing capital in Canada, coupled with an exclusive ‘Capital Connection' event.

As of January 31, 2011, the Exchanges were home to 1,543 mining issuers that have a combined market capitalization of $541 billion. In 2010, Toronto Stock Exchange and TSX Venture Exchange welcomed a record 208 new mining companies to the market.
