The Options Industry Council (OIC) announced today a university outreach program, The Road to Wall Street: Analyze Your Options, will be offered this fall to educate students about options and careers within the options industry. This event will be a half-day informative seminar at Baruch College in New York (Friday, October 1) and the Illinois Institute of Technology’s Stuart School of Business in Chicago (Friday, October 29).
Students and faculty are invited to attend this seminar to hear from successful options traders, exchange leaders, industry professionals and a chartered financial analyst. Topics covered include experiences from the field, how the listed options markets work, where the industry is headed, and how to get started in the options business.
The Baruch event will feature David Krell, Baruch College alumnus, and Co-founder and Chairman of the International Securities Exchange, along with Pete Najarian, contributor to CNBC’s “Fast Money” and Co-founder of optionMONSTER.com and tradeMONSTER.com. Featured speakers at IIT will be William J. Brodsky, Chairman and CEO of the Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE), and Jon Najarian, a CNBC contributor and Co-founder of optionMONSTER.com and tradeMONSTER.com. Program sessions and format will be the same at both locations.
To register, participants must currently be enrolled in a 2- or 4-year undergraduate or graduate degree program. A valid college or university ID along with a registration confirmation page to attend the event is required.
