As the Economist at NYBOT, Mr. Savaiko will monitor developments in underlying and related markets, assess and identify fundamental market information, produce detailed research papers as well as initiate and expand communication between NYBOT and the investment community.
Mr. Savaiko previously worked at two positions in his 20 years with UBS PaineWebber: from 1982 until 1995, he was a Senior Analyst in the Futures Division; and in 1995, he became the Futures Research Director and Transactional Support Manager. In addition to his work with a number of companies Mr. Savaiko has held other positions in research and trading with various companies throughout the world. In 1975, he earned a BS in Economics and Business from Rutgers University, and in 1986, he authored the book Trading In Soft Commodity Futures, published by John Wiley & Sons.
