The Mercado Alternativo Bursátil (MAB) today welcomed Zinkia to its segment for Growth Companies.
The Chairman of MAB, Antonio Giralt, said: “I am delighted to welcome Zinkia to MAB. This admission demonstrates that despite difficult market conditions this market is a good choice for growth companies”.
The Deputy Chairman of MAB, Jesús González Nieto, added that “with this listing, MAB delivers on the two main goals of its creation: on the one hand to help companies to raise capital, in this case by means of a 15% capital increase, and on the other hand, to open up a new range of possibilities for investors in a sector that, until now, has had no representation”.
Zinkia, which was founded in 2001, is based in Madrid and has a representative office in Beijing (China). The company is mainly concerned with the entertainment sector as well as with interactive content such as videogames and online communities. The company operates in over 100 countries and boasts a solid, international track record commercialising audiovisual content and brands based on it. Among them are the award winning Pocoyó cartoon character and Shuriken School.
