The London Stock Exchange today welcomed AZ Electronic Materials ("AZ"), a leading global producer and supplier of high quality, high-purity specialty chemical materials, to its Main Market. The company, which raised £383 million at admission, is the first non-UK incorporated chemical company to take a Premium Listing on the London Stock Exchange.

AZ is a leading global producer and supplier of chemical materials used in the manufacture of Integrated Circuits and Flat Panel Displays (FPDs). Its advanced products are integral to the manufacture of a wide variety of electronic devices with both consumer and business applications, including mobile phones, flat screen televisions and computers, as well as having energy conservation, automotive and industrial applications.
AZ's admission takes the total number of IPOs on the Exchange's markets this year to 62, 31 of which have been conducted on the Main Market. In total, IPOs on the London Stock Exchange this year have raised over £6 billion. There are now 19 chemicals companies listed on the Exchange's Main Market, including11 international firms.
