The William J. Brodsky, Chairman and CEO of Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE), on Wednesday, September 2, will participate in the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) joint meetings on regulation harmonization.Mr. Brodsky will speak on the first panel of the day - "Regulation of Exchanges and Markets, Clearance and Settlement and Margin Requirements," which begins at 9:30 a.m. eastern time.
On July 17, 2009, Mr. Brodsky testified before the U.S. House of Representatives Committee on Financial Services regarding the Obama Administration's Financial Regulatory Reform Proposals. In those remarks, Brodsky supported the Administration's recommendation for harmonization of SEC and CFTC rules and urged Congress to adopt it.
