As of May 6 Banco Bradesco BBI S.A. has been acting as market maker for the corporate bonds issued by American Banknote S.A.
The role of the broker is to handle bid and ask offerings and constantly help boosting liquidity and improving price formation processes for the asset, traded under the code ABNB-D11.
In all there are 99 counting on Market Maker services; 94 equity issues (88 shares, 5 BDRs, and 1 for the ETF PIBB) and 5 are debentures traded on BOVESPA Fix, the fixed income market.
BOVESPA has authorized market makers to ensure liquidity for assets and the activity was also authorized by Brazil's Securities and Exchange Commission (CVM) on March 17, 2003, through CVM Instruction 384, and regulated by BOVESPA Resolution 293 dated July 22, 2003 (Equity) and Resolution 300 of July 20, 2004 (Fixed Income).
