Due to the huge demand for the latest bond issue from Air Berlin PLC, the entire subscription volume of EUR 150 million was already reached on the very first subscription day. From today investors had the opportunity to subscribe to the second bond issue from the airline. "The demand for the second bond issue was so great, that the issue volume, including the announced top-up of EUR 50 million, was completely exhausted. This shows that corporate bonds still meet with enormous demand among private investors," said Sabine Traub, Head of the Primary Market at EUWAX AG.
Air Berlin PLC is the eighth company this year to place a bond issue in the Bondm trading segment. The bond matures in 2018, has a coupon of 8.25 percent and is denominated in units of EUR 1,000. Following conclusion of the subscription period during the course of the afternoon on 12 April and a pro-rata allotment, investors can begin trading the bonds from 19 April 2011 in Boerse Stuttgart's Bondm segment for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). The ISIN is DE000AB100B4.
