Monetary Authority Of Singapore Expands Scope Pf Regulated Payment Services - Introduces User Protection Requirements For Digital Payment Token Service Providers
The Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) today introduced amendments to the Payment Services Act (PS Act) and its subsidiary legislation to expand the scope of payment services regulated by MAS, and to impose user protection and financial stability-related requirements on digital payment token (DPT) service providers. These amendments will take effect in stages from 4 April 2024.

New Zealand Financial Markets Authority Opens Consultation On Potential Class Exemption For Certain Green, Social, Sustainability, And Sustainability-Linked Bonds
The Financial Markets Authority (FMA) – Te Mana Tātai Hokohoko – is considering a class exemption that would allow listed companies to bring certain green, social, sustainable, and sustainability-linked (GSSS) bonds to market more quickly and without incurring most of the regulatory costs of a full retail investment offer. This would operate on a similar basis to the same class exclusion* available in the Financial Markets Conduct Act 2013 (FMC Act), that allows companies that are already-listed to raise further capital using simple, streamlined disclosure.

Federal Reserve Board Accepting Applications For Its Community Advisory Council
The Federal Reserve Board announced on Monday that it is accepting applications from individuals who wish to be considered for membership on the Community Advisory Council (CAC). The CAC was formed in 2015. It advises the Board on issues affecting consumers and communities and complements two of the Board's other advisory councils whose members represent depository institutions--the Federal Advisory Council and the Community Depository Institutions Advisory Council.

US Office Of The Comptroller Of The Currency Releases CRA Evaluations For 19 National Banks And Federal Savings Associations
The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) today released a list of Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) performance evaluations that became public during the period of March 1, 2024, through March 31, 2024. The list contains only national banks, federal savings associations, and insured federal branches of foreign banks that have received ratings. The possible ratings are outstanding, satisfactory, needs to improve, and substantial noncompliance.
