FORTS Ranked 11 In The FIA’s 2008 Rating
According to the annual report issued by the Futures Industry Association (FIA), one of the world’s major professional associations of derivative exchanges FORTS, RTS derivatives section, was rated 11th among 52 global derivative exchanges ranked by the number of contracts traded in the year 2008.

The Financial Services Authority Publishes "The Turner Review": A Wide-Ranging Review Of Global Banking Regulation
The Financial Services Authority (FSA) has today published the Turner Review of global banking regulation. Lord Turner, chairman of the FSA, was asked by the Chancellor of the Exchequer to review the events that led to the financial crisis and to recommend reforms.

London Dry Bulk Announces Deutsche Bank Has Taken An Equity Stake In Its Brokerage
Deutsche Bank has taken an equity stake in London Dry Bulk (LDB), the world’s first specialist physical and financial iron ore broker. The combination of LDB’s extensive management experience in physical coal markets and Deutsche Bank’s expertise as co-founder of the financial iron ore swap will help LDB develop the iron ore spot and derivative market. Deutsche Bank will be represented at Board level within LDB while LDB remains independent.

Changeover Of The Luxembourg Stock Exchange To The Universal Trading Platform (UTP) Of NYSE Euronext
On 9 March 2009, the Luxembourg Stock Exchange successfully migrated all securities listed on its two markets, the regulated market and the Euro MTF market, to the Universal Trading Platform or UTP of NYSE Euronext. At the same time, the Exchange ceased using its existing NSC® trading platform of launched in May 2007.

BHF-BANK The First German General Clearing Member At Nord Pool
The NASDAQ OMX Group, Inc. (NASDAQ:NDAQ) announces that BHF-BANK has become a General Clearing Member (GCM) at Nord Pool Clearing ASA, a part of NASDAQ OMX Commodities. BHF-BANK is the first German institute to be listed as a GCM at Nord Pool, Europe's largest power exchange.
