Direct Edge Files Exchange Applications With The SEC - Third Largest U.S. Stock Market Seeks Two Exchange Licenses
Direct Edge announced today that it has formally filed two Form 1 applications with the Securities and Exchange Commission in order to register its ECN trading systems, EDGX and EDGA, as facilities of two newly-created national securities exchanges.

Kansas City Board of Trade: 2009 Hard Red Winter Wheat Crop Tour Results
The final estimate for the 2009 hard red winter wheat tour sponsored by the Wheat Quality Council was announced today at the Kansas City Board of Trade. The final participant estimate for the three-day tour average was a yield of 40.8 bushels per acre, 2.5 bushels lower than the 2008 estimate of 43.3 bushels per acre.

UK's Financial Services Authority: Wider Implications Referral: Lehman-Backed Structured Products
The Financial Services Authority (FSA) and Financial Ombudsman Service (the Ombudsman) have jointly concluded that Lehman Brothers' insolvency raises issues in the UK structured products market. As a result, while the Ombudsman has been investigating a number of individual complaints, the FSA has been actively looking at the wider issues raised in this market.

London Stock Exchange Group: Equity Value Traded In April Up 16 Per Cent On Average For First Three Months
The average daily value traded on the equity order books of London Stock Exchange Group during April increased 16 per cent on the average for the first quarter of 2009 to £7.5 billion (€8.4 billion), though this was down by 34 per cent on April last year.
