ICE Reports 24% Increase In Daily Futures Volume For November 2009, With Record ADV At ICE Futures Europe - $4 Trillion Cleared In CDS Globally
IntercontinentalExchange (NYSE: ICE), a leading operator of regulated global futures exchanges, clearing houses and over-the-counter (OTC) markets, today reported strong volume growth across its three futures exchanges for the month of November 2009. Average daily volume (ADV) for ICE's futures markets was 1,084,195 contracts, an increase of 24% from November 2008. CME Group Volume Averaged 10.8 Million Contracts Per Day In November 2009, Up 5 Percent From November 2008
CME Group, the world's largest and most diverse derivatives marketplace, today announced that November volume averaged 10.8 million contracts per day, up 5 percent from November 2008 and representing the first month of positive year-over-year growth to date in 2009. Nikkei-TOCOM Commodity Index Components To Be Changed According To Suspension Of Aluminum Trading
Tokyo Commodity Exchange, Inc. (“TOCOM” or the “Exchange”) today announced that the Exchange is to exclude the Aluminum futures contract from the components of the Nikkei-TOCOM Commodity Index, and to adopt a new weight percentage from January 1, 2010 onwards.

At the international derivatives markets of Eurex, an average daily volume of 9.4 million contracts was traded in November 2009; y-o-y the figure was 10.4 million. 96 Billion Euros Turnover At Deutsche Börse’s Cash Market In November - 13 Million Trades Executed On Xetra - Total Volume Of 108 Billion Euros Traded On All Stock Exchanges In Germany
In November, 96.5 billion euros were traded on Xetra® and on the floor at Börse Frankfurt – a decrease of 21 percent year-on-year (November 2008: 122.2 billion euros). Of the 96.5 billion euros, 90.5 billion euros were traded on Xetra, a decrease of 21 percent year-on-year (November 2008: 114.5 billion euros). 5.9 billion euros were traded on the floor (November 2008: 7.7 billion euros).
